Review / Faze Action Remixes #1

Faze Action, Remixes, Phil Mison, Chuggy, Tricky Disco

I need to start writing about new music far more as I’ve been sent tons of great new music recently and about the only place I seem to share it is on the NTS radio show I do so time to start. First up is this one – the new remixes of Faze Action by the Faze brothers themselves, Phil Mison, Chuggy and Tricky Disco.

The Faze version sounds like one of that great Dream 2 Science remix of recent times and kicks along in a perfect ’89 dream house but for now way. Really great remix. Tricky disco does the party disco thing in a fine stylee and on the B side you get Mison and Chuggy of Emotional Response / Rescue fame. Phil Mison’s Balearicos remix is a good good thing. A party vibe at the perfect tempo for us these days, pianos and strings at the fore. As ever with Phil it’s all total restraint, a percussive beat and an almost little New Beat vibe to the synths. Surprise guest at the party is Chuggy who comes through with a very tidy laidback vibe which feels like a mellow version of the Pat Metheny’s “Slip Away”. Back of the net Stu. I can’t recommend this one enough as it’ll work at any occasion.Check the clips here at Juno. Apiento.
