Bootlegs of the abandoned Mick Jones mixed sessions for what was to become “Combat Rock” must have been circulating since they were recorded, but vinyl has just appeared so it`s the first time I`ve heard them.
I knew nothing about Camera Obscura, since as far as I can make out none of the band are regulars at ALFOS or WU, are friends with either Alfredo Fiorito or Ron Morelli, or shop at Redlight.
I bought this album a little while ago, but it`s still getting regular plays, which is rare with the pace that we currently consume music.
Allegedly uncovered by Ian Wright in a DJ battle, now re-issued on Jazzman subsidiary Soul 7.
