Just a quick one to say that I've been reading the new DISCO POGO magazine (Issue 5) and I have to say it's really nice watching a magazine totally find its feet. When it first started as an updated take on Jockey Slut I thought that it would be a tough one as those are big shoes to fill.

Jockey Slut was like a fanzine with a bit more oomph. It landed at an amazing time for music with Carl Craig smashing amazing records out and Luke Una being funny month by month. They had cover stars such as Mad Mike and Bandulu. Cinema reviews and the cover up section where people had to wear bin liners on their heads and just listen to the music not knowing what it was often inadvertently slagging off their friends records... It was so up our street.

So DISCO POGO, as a magazine for all ages with their heads in the game, had a lot of ground to cover but they are really doing such a fine job. It's so nice to see depth articles on things that you think matter when the world is going short form and culture is all about screens. So big up the team at DISCO POGO and if you want to see what it's all about head HERE.
