Ibiza: Moments In Love

From 27th November to the 26th January the ICA's Fox Reading Room plays host to the exhibition 'Ibiza: Moments In Love'. The exhibition focuses on the mid-80s where the clothes ran riot, the people ran naked, and the beats were becoming Balearic. These are the formative years of Euro clubbing. The place were hippy met jazz and congas met the dancefloor. The posters tell a story of family nights, hippy nights and "fashion" (well strip) nights. Everybody went. The island wasn't about money or business in those days. It was simply a way of life and people dressed to express.

The exhibition contains the work of Ku poster artist Yves Uro and also covers Paula's boutique (as run by Armin Heinemann) amongst other things. It also features a set of photographs from Derek Ridgers taken at Ku in 1984 and music supervision by Phil Mison and myself.
