Jex Opolis & Palmbomen Ii
London
The Pickle Factory

Business as usual...

Crucial & Fresh bring two titans of the heartfelt-machine-jam to the Pickle Factory this Saturday (27th May) for New Business. Their party, which operates in a sort of sideways post-reality, remembers fondly the clean aesthetic of future-proofed 80s graphics - follow them through adventures in success, and explore, at your leisure, the serene virtual architecture of their previously imagined digital environments and current public service infomercial.

Our review of Jex’s (now sold out) album ‘Ravines’ will tell you all you need to know – the man is dynamite, and having seen him DJ a couple of times I can confirm he will destroy the dance. Have a listen to his Test Pressing mix to get excited.

And he couldn’t be more perfectly paired with Dutch synth-whisperer Palmbomen II, who spoils us with both a live performance and a DJ set in the same night. Anticipate sumptuous, emotionally-charged machine music, simultaneously lo-fi and lush.

Tickets are still going and can be got here. Keep up with the event here.
