I was at this one and listened to the tape obsessively. Sasha came on at about 8 in the morning, massively late and unbelievably wasted. Still managed to pull this set off though…. and with more panache and flair than just about anyone else. Even managing to deal with a disastrous record scratch and come out smiling. I love the way the tracklist comes from that time before house music was so divided, so we get Lil' Louis, Leftfield, Judge Jules, Jovonn and Snap. I still think Sasha is one of the best DJs I’ve ever heard before he disappeared down the prog house wormhole. Shout out to everyone who knows all of MC Joe Peng’s lyrics!
