Love International
Tisno
Croatia
Sometimes you need a minute to get your head around how good something was and this was something special. Love International is a new take on the Garden Festival which had been running for a number of years in Croatia. This year with a new name, Dave Harvey and co pulled together a perfect mix of the new younger dudes on the scene and more established names / crews. A great crowd and literally good music everywhere you went - the programming was just brilliant. If you take the music and add it to the beautiful setting and those sunsets - you are basically dancing bang next to the Adriatic in beautiful Tisno, Croatia and sometimes when on the boat on the Adriatic - it really is stunning and makes me think of Ibiza at its absolute best. Add Barbarella's the club on top of the hill and it is job done.
For us the highlights were Darshan Jesrani on the Beach Stage which went from basically myself and mates Jim and Mark and Jered Jexopolis and Ivan on the dancefloor to 200 people getting down to the tidiest mix of NY house and disco. It was just held down, no massive moments and quality through and through. You know a proper DJ when he doesn't bother playing a massive record or whatever at the end he just plays something cool - thats Darshan. We salute you. It was the perfect "we're going home tomorrow" dancefloor two hours. Best mates on the floor and quality music. Other highlights were the first live Begin set at our International Feel session - a beautiful blissed out hour from 6:30 - 7:30 (which was followed by Henning Telephone's out there ambient set which scared a few people but kept the hardcore Aussie crew entertained), Mark Seven on the Claremont boat supported by Mison and Mudd our Test Pressing session with Lexx and Suzanne Kraft and the Aficionado morning sessions.
You know whats more important though is the family vibe and with Dave Harvey overseeing the show you know it sort of flows down. What you see is what you get with Dave and I'm not going to blow smoke here but he's a good one. That energy sort of filters through the whole thing and being there with mates and getting the chance to hang out with people you only get to see a few times a year in one place is what its all about. So thanks to Love International and Dave and co for such a good time. Go next year. You won't regret it. A family affair.
Shouts to Lexx, Eva, Mark, Jim, Diego, Ivan, Jered Jex, James Holroyd, Henning, Mark, Charlie and Roger, Mison, Jason, Moonboots, Dave Harvey, Wil and Angie, Joe and Katie, Gatto & Sarah, Alice, Spencer, Sanky, Michael Cook, Deek, Allday wonky foot, Peter, Michelle, Mudd and Emma, Cobby, Duane, Leslie and Nick, Chris and Andy Bad Passion and everyone else. This list could go on and on and that sort of tells you all you need to know. x.
