A bonkers 3-track 12 recovered from 1/4-inch tapes discovered by San Francisco`s Honey Soundsystem in the basement of former Megatone Records boss John Hedges, and released to celebrate what would have been Patrick Cowley`s 65th birthday.

On the title track (recorded in 1978) winds blow and a storm gathers a top Disco Mountain. A battery of drums sound, like Walter Gibbons mixing with love, cascading, raining, with a craftsmanship that`s been paid tribute on Black Cock / Velvet Season & The Hearts Of Gold edits, by the Idjuts, Felix`s Bastedos. “Dubhousedisco” I think they used to call it. A pumping, muscled-up synth line is lubed with pretty strings, choral vocals, computer breakdowns and handclapping breaks to form a Hi-NRG suite. What`s “Kickin` In”? Drug or Desire? “Thief Of Love`s” Go-Go-Not-Go-Go chug backs a vocodered homoerotic tale of vampiric sexual decadence, underlined by a Gospel choir (?). “Make It Loose” is suitably slack, sleazy Funk for Cowley`s retelling of an orgy in a mirrored black room. Probably not one for radio play and most likely NSFW. Unless you work in a gay brothel of course.
