Ancient machinery, a pounding system. Steam-Punk cogs turn, a leviathan awakes. Jules Verne, Nemo, serenity at 20, 000 leagues. Lost cities to be navigated. Loneliness, inner space beneath ice caps, surfacing through clouds of frozen white. Metallic echoes of Massive Attack, Lone Swordsmen, Robin Guthrie & Harold Budd reverberate around the hull. Pulse quickens, blood thickens in chill air. Blues and static, subliminal sweet songs, some sober morning`s clarity. Sonar birds on sinewave swells. “Nightporter”`s memory. Miles` “Blue In Green”. We make slow progress, moving ever North, tearing loose from shadows. Pan had his stitched back on, but we`ll lock ours away, travel without them, surrendering to brilliance. The presence of all light as disorientating as its absence.
