The original is a soulful erection section smoocher, with laidback Jazz guitar, bongos lapping and that synthesized bandoneon / melodica / harmonica sound (that I`m a sucker for). The music of a Mediterranean club warming up, filling up. The music of cocktails being sunk. Sade without the sax. Dennis Edwards making eyes at Linda Di Franco. Mike Francis making friends with Ami Stewart.

Eddie C speeds it up, adds a break, a kick, a sheen of shimmering ambience, and stretches it to twice the length. Alex Israel brings in melancholy strings and a 303 for an acidic stomp with soul in its keys. Benedek drops the tempo, beefs up the bass to a Barry White growl. Flutes vie with axe solos. With the emphasis more electronic, the track now relocated from the White Isle to Miami. The Egyptian Lover serenading a paramour.
