“Axis” had to be made with David Axelrod in mind and ear. A complexly arranged, string-soaked symphony in miniature. Songs Of Innocence. Songs Of Experience. Beats that Shadow would have stolen. Giallo fuzz and Psychedelic Morricone. Spaghetti Western chimes, men with no name, bounty killers and fists full of dynamite. Wonderful Sounds that would compliment the recent Kramford Look and Nev Cottee long players. “Oxwich” puts a cello`s song in amongst the birds and an acoustic strum marks a last burning of the sun. A glitch`s electric current singing like a stream. “Solstice” sends Zero 7 on “Moon Safari” (If Trip Hop`s making a comeback can we call it something else this time?). “Tisno” is an “Art Of Noise”, has “Camilla”`s girl Friday washed ashore on “Crusoe”`s beach.

“Axis” hitting the shops has been delayed a tad (hey it`s summer, school`s out) but you can order digital and vinyl directly here.
