So back to this coming Friday night. Last week I went down to the outdoor market that Phil Mison DJs at to see him and Moonboots and have to say it was flipping great. You sort of walk in not expecting much (as its basically a food and drink market) but when all the friends and family turned up and Moon and Phil just played the records they loved everyone started dancing and off it went.

From 'Cloudbusting' by Kate Bush to 'Witness The Change' the music was fun, varied and everyone was into it. A pretty sight. This week sees Phil joined by Balearic Mike (ex-Manc now living in Brighton) to do the honours. Mike is good time balearic in a bottle so looking forward to hearing those two in the sun. Where is it? The outdoor #R3D market space is sort of just out of Old Street tube and just behind where Old Street splits with Great Eastern Street. You'll find it as you might hear the new Cantoma record coming over the rooftops. Oh and the food is pretty great.

Phil's Ten From The Market

1. Land Of Hypno - La Bahia Erotica (Mk7 Rascals Edit)
2. Garfield Fleming - Please Don't Send Me Away
3. Cl + Band - Equador
4. Hubbabubbaklub - Mopedbart

9. Professor Genius - Pegaso (Silver & Kanes Puma Mix)
10. Kate Bush - Cloudbusting (Extended mix )

So from there to the Gentlemen's Pinch where two true London originals are DJing (for free) for your pleasure. It's happening at The Half Moon, Half Moon Lane, London, SE24. Runs from 9 till 2 a.m.

Farley and Nancy Noise will be playing the records they love and it is bound to be a fun one. Nancy is on a bit of a one woman revival right now though not of her own doing. I think people are just clocking on to how amazing she is. From spending summers in Ibiza very early doors to being massively key in bringing the Ibiza Dance back to London with a few of her mates whilst keeping a solid balearic sound to everything she does. If you run a club book her. Great interview here with her on Faith that is well worth a read or just see the Future (the seminal club she was involved in) top ten below for a list of records that sound amazing right now. She plays what she wants in a modern way and check her recent mix for Test Pressing to hear Nancy now. Everyone has loved that one have to say.

Nancy Noise / Future Top Ten

It's Immaterial - Driving Away From Home
The Smiths - How Soon Is Now
James - Come Home
Izit - Stories
Yello - La Habanera
Red Box - Enjoy (Solid Gold Easy Amex)
Dizzi Heights - Would I Find Love
Sly & Robbie - Boops

From there it's across the water to Göteborg (Gothenburg to us) in Sweden where the lovely Christian and Anders from Parlour are playing host to one of the mellowest people on the scene, Jonny Nash. Saying that, Jonny knows how to rock a party and the Swedish love to dance so this is going to be one fine night. It is at Nefertiti which is a tidy venue in a basement with good sound. Wish I was going. If you live local you know where it is. And what a great flyer. Their artwork is always spot on. 120 Swedish Crowns on the door.

Parlour Ten From The Party

Enzo Carella - Fosse Vero
Parlour - Maan
Regina James - Primitive
Daniel Grau - Funky Bip-Bot
Lonzine Wright - Stop The Taxi
Jackie Mittoo All Stars - Dance Version
Once In A Lifetime (Soft Rocks Remix)
Harold Lucious - Let The Feeling Turn You out
Mzungu - The Third
