Boom. Artificial System are back after their first EP which we loved and it's a proper wallop of an E.P. They are making music that to these ears is exactly how I want downtempo sounds to be. Trippy, messed up, a bit psychedelic and really tough on the bottom end. As per theirs first E.P this is four killer tracks... Kicking off 'Field Generator' is a reset... A pull into their world. FX and spoken tones. We're in space and there's some kind of communication going on... It's 9 minutes of messed up ambience that would sit happily in the company of spacey Future Sound Of London tracks.

'Backwards' brings the beats. And they are proper "chug". Slow slow slow beats with a classic stab sound though with the way Artifical System make music everything sounds new. It's a builder.... A 'we mean business' kind of track...

'Dating on K' takes us back up into space. It's so whooshed out... The arpeggiated synths arrive about 3:30 in and the beats follow a few minutes after. It's trippy as f*ck and I love the fact that someone is making music that waits 4:30 to drop a kick. It could easily last twice as long...

'She's Got Snake Eyes' is the last track on the E.P. Most people would put it first but Artificial System run it out last... It's chug from the off... Dubbed out synths and chopped vocals run out over a 4/4 beat. Click above and play it loud. I would love to hear this one out. It's out there and super balearic in that new beat fashion. We recommend. In fact we highly recommend the whole record tbh. Get involved.
