When they released their psychedelic dub opus "936" in 2011, Peaking Lights, the Californian husband and wife duo of Aaron Coyes and Indra Dunis busted the doors of perception wide open. Since then, they've used they've used their homespun dreamscapes to dance with "Lucifer", explore "Cosmic Logic" and enter "The Fifth State of Consciousness". Now, they're planning their big "E S C A P E".
So, all of that said, here's the Moonman and Sleeze mixes of "Soft Escape", the first single off Peaking Lights forthcoming new album "E S C A P E", due for release through Dekmantel. On the Moonman mix, surveillance scanner style robo-synths and a bouncy drum machine backbeat set the scene for Indra's ghostly vocals, followed by melancholy melodies and the odd jacked-up rhythmic workout. The Sleaze mix begins on a similar trajectory, before slouching into a cyberpunk lounge mode music.
You can purchase both versions of "Soft Escape" (here). We'll follow up about "E S C A P E" closer to release.
