The synthesised woodwinds on “Qi Xin Mian Guan” put it on a `90s NYC dance floor at around 5 or 6 AM, dancing with Cosmo D`s Push / Pull and Dream 2 Science, a Heaven in its head. Think the Nu Groove of the Burrell Brothers, “Just Before The Dawn”, by way of Mood Hut. “Downtown” is characterised by a chunky bass riff, and has Karl Nordine going Go-Go. Karl`s Sasac remains a reference point for “Tempelhof Kite” which adds a bit of Benedek and a bit of Moon B, to end up like “Tarifa”-era Torn Hawk remaking one of those “ambient” Italian House tracks. Kito Jempere`s remix is rebuilt around a guitar riff, with an increase in tempo, and more of a “Washing Machine” wobble in the bass-line.
